Costumes and music were phenomenal. Orchestra was perfect, drummer was excellent. Old Simba didn't seem great - voice wasn't as solid as others.

Being Disney fans, we had to go see the Lion King and the production did not disappoint. The animals coming by us on the way to the stage was so much fun. The actors, especially the children were the top of their game. We wanted it to last longer. It is easy to see why this production remains a huge... More

I would give this more than excellent if I could. From the moment the musical starts you are swept away in the singing, the characters, the whole production. I loved every minute of it. My six year old daughter was hanging onto the edge of her seat. I would recommend this to everyone and would see it again.

The Lion King on Broadway blew my mind. I didn't think the cast would be able to capture some aspects of the original movie but I was proved wrong. The stampede alone was jaw dropping. Every performer's voice was incredible. The show brought tears to my eyes & I would 100% see the show again. This is one of the... More

Went to see the Lion King for my birthday. The singing was unbelievable and the costumes were phenomenal. Although there are people "playing" animals, with some of the characters being a person holding an animal "puppet" (not sure what the proper terminology is), you easily get lost in the character and do not see the person. I was enchanted from... More

We were amazed by the costumes, puppetry, dances, etc. There is so much to see and absorb, that you have no time to be bored. I think the young Simba was not a great singer, but overall the play is out of this world.

Had the good fortune of receiving free tickets to see The Lion King. Took my 7yr old Niece and she loved it. There are tons of Characters and it's a pretty big production. I'm glad I was able to see a classic. We walked a few blocks to the Venue. I would never recommend that because the Avenues are very... More

I started crying from the get go. Everything is just a dream on that show. The singers can't be real, those voices give you goosebumps from the moment they open their mouths. This was a show I have always wanted to see and I finally had a chance and I am so glad I did because it was one of... More

We went too two shows in NYC. Wicked was better for us. This is good for kids. The audience was not respectful as Wicked. There were several issues with the audience respecting the show. The Show itself was well done. I would not see it again but it was good.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
