First ever hike up a mountain with family. From reading comments I guess we were lucky to visit on a slightly chilly Thursday, as it wasn't too crowded. Went (slowly) up the more difficult East side, down the West and then around the base trail. Don't have to be in perfect shape to make it up as long as you... More

Pinnacle Mountain is always a refreshing place to be! There's something for everyone at this State Park. It is very accommodating to all walks of life. Even on a busy day with overflow parking enjoyment can be a welcome feeling. Love & laughter all around for children, lovebirds, hikers, cyclers, animal lovers, you name it! There are no bad pictures... More

Climb the mountain, hike the trails, walk the paved paths and take in nature. Great park, clean restrooms and nice playground areas.

An amazing place, peaceful and beautiful. The visitor center is interesting, however, the staff are not very attentive, or friendly.

The front side is always packed with people and the hike is actually very short. Don't let the mileage fool you though, it'll get your heart going whatever your fitness level. The view at the top is pretty great looking out over the river. The hike itself is pretty boring and over trafficked, but I still go once a week... More

Pinnacle Mountain State Park West trail has less boulders than the East trail. It's only 3/4 of in length, but that's up switchbacks and boulders near the top. Rewarding views at the top.

A wonderful state park!! Today it was very crowded and parking can be a problem. Plenty of hiking opportunities and room for many other activities. The visitors center is very nice and usually not as crowded! Staff was very friendly and very helpful. Great views and easier and shorter hikes also available at visitors center. Weekends have larger crowds, but... More

My wife, young son (4 year old) and I visited Pinnacle Mountain State Park, on President’s Day, the park was busy with the holiday but there was plenty of parking with the overflow. From some researching we had determined that the King Fisher Trail and the Arkansas trail would be our best fit for hiking that day. We didn’t really... More
