The park is beautiful and we'll maintained. You have to pay an entrance fee ($5 Georgia residents, $7 otherwise). It's worth it. The park is big. The cottages area is beautiful. We walked the trail to the observation deck - short walk to a platform that overlooks the river - and some of its inhabitants, like herons and ibises. Our... More

Great for camping even if the sites are a bit close together. Our only problem was the venting from the septic system blowing over our camp.

We stayed at Crooked River State Park for a couple of nights (would've been 3 but the rain and gnats ran us off the last night!). What a nice place...aside from the gnats. Huge campsites, shade trees, nice walking trails, paved roads, and river front views. No campsites are actually on the river although 4-5 sites are real close (look... More

The staff was very helpful. There are many trails to choose from, all of which are kept clean and clear of debris. There's even mini golf!

My husband and I recently drove through Crooked River State Park. We stopped at a couple of places to walk a bit, but we didn't take any of the long trails. It's a pretty area!

Spent two nights at one of the cottages in the park. Two bedrooms with two full beds in each, nice clean bathroom, fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher, cable TV and a screened porch with two rocking chairs. We very much enjoyed our stay and definitely return. We didn't use the air conditioning except at night and it worked just... More

they have been completely gutted and redone. The kitchens are now open to the LR/DR area--much more "user friendly"--and new, up-graded appliances have been added. The bedrooms have new beds & seriously comfortable mattresses, real closets (instead of a bar hanging fr/ the wall in the corner of the room), & furnishings. Bathrooms have been completely refurbished w/ much nicer... More

Crooked River State Park is a beautiful place to get away from it all for a weekend or a few days. The beach is beautiful there is also a boat dock and it is not located far from restaurants and shopping if you decide to venture into the city.

Crooked River State Park is one of the first places I went to when I moved to this area, I have attended several wedding receptions here, played putt putt golf, enjoyed the bird show, and just standing near the water looking at the view.
