The DAI has a very nice permanent collection from a variety of well-known artists from around the world. Everything from paintings to sculpture to glass - and just about everything in between. Monet, Hopper, DeGas, Rubens, O'Keeffe, Tiffany, Chihuly...and on and on. There is also quite an eclectic and elaborate collection of Asian Art which one can easily spend a... More

The DAI make for a good visit with plenty of items to see, explore with a kid friendly area to entertain the young ones. With kids getting in for free makes it more easier to bring them along. There's a nice café as you had out the entrance to dine prior to moving on to your next venture.

Both the art and sculptures were amazing. I was shocked at the quality of the works that were here. Unfortunately the European wing was closed

Even though the institute was undergoing some sort of renovation and some pieces were missing it was still a nice place to visit for an afternoon.

DAI puts on a great Oktoberfest! And you can visit the exhibits, as well. The museum is well laid out and provides a great deal of diversity.

My husband, my aunt and I all visited the Dayton Art Museum Labor Day weekend of 2015. They had an exhibit of World War I and II memorabilia. It was very interesting. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and the museum is absolutely beautiful.

The Dayton Art Institute is a wonderful place to spend some time if you are in Dayton or have any interest in art. This is a small to medium art museum, but they do an awful lot right. I give a lot of credit to the museum designers and curators for making the very most of every piece of art... More
