If you're local, you know the place. If you're a visitor, it's a treat. This performing arts center is beautiful. The "worst" seats in the house are high but nice, unobstructed, and usually have empty seats to move to. The better seats can be had reasonably, and are worth it. The arts you get here are equivalent to a major,... More

You would think you were in a theatre in a major city. Dayton is so fortunate to have such a first rate, beautiful venue in the heart of our city for live Broadway touring productions. I just saw Jersey boys and the Lion King. The large, modern theatre provided exceptional space for the large production of the Lion King. There... More

Cesar Pelli did a great job of incorporating Dayton-specific details into the architecture of this Performing Arts Center. The Main Theatre seating and sight lines are very good with only the "nose-bleed" seats lacking in functional use. This is a great center and a welcomed addition to downtown Dayton.

I have been to all kinds of shows at the Shuster Center from DPO, Opera, Broadway Shows, & even High School Graduations. I have never been disappointed! There is not a bad seat in the house.

Excellent venue for a show although it lacks some of the character of older theaters. It definitely makes up for that with its beauty! Really cool that they have the old Christmas displays from Rike's Department Store on display at Christmas time.

The Schuster Center continues to attract the best in out of town talent, as well as showcasing Dayton's own performing arts talent: the Dayton Opera, the Dayton Ballet and the Dayton Philharmonic (combined as the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance.) In addition, the Center is home to the Citilights restaurant, a full service restaurant and bar, featuring farm-to-table American bistro-style food.

We recently went to the Schuster to watch the Broadway show, Jersey Boys. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere. The volunteers there are very helpful in finding seats. When you go, look up at the ceiling. What a sight. There is a restaurant onsite that serves dinner. We have not tried it but our friends who have say... More

A beautiful place to hear some world class music, on a stage built for optimum acoustic happiness. Broadway shows are tremendous here, and any other event you can name. The balconies provide a decent view but can give you a little vertigo. They've recently allowed beverages in the theatre, which is very welcome. They have a restaurant but never tried... More

This is my favorite theatre in Dayton to see a play or musical performance. We had season tickets for plays and symphony and preferred the very top of the balcony in the middle. The music just flows around you. Lower down is better for plays. The only seats that we didn't like were the box seats. All of the seats... More
