A nice balance of museum and discovery. Your children will be amazed at all of the subjects included in the museum. Ranging from archaeological digs in a sand box to visits to outer space. Be prepared for discovering the "natural' aroma of the wildlife. There is museum enough for even adults to discover something new.

I took my neices who are 8 and 6, And also my grandson who is 4 they all loved it. There is a play area for the kids. They could play there for hours. They also enjoyed the animals. The kids had a great time. They want to go back again. This museum is good for the whole family.

My suggestion is that you should begin this fantastic museum on the second floor with toddlers. There are animal habitats at their viewing levels, hands-on activities that inspire their curiosity and playfulness, and science areas to move around easily with a stroller or to catch up with a running child. The snack area and restrooms are easily accessible and there... More

I rated okay because a lot of the exhibits were not working and sign says technical difficulties don't know if they are fixing them or not but thought it was expensive.

Kids are amazed and happy. Great for indoor activities when cold outside. Very much worth a visit for a half day.

Every year at Christmas when my kids come to Dayton with my grandkids ages 16 months to 7 years old they want to go to the Boonshoft Museum. There are interactive displays throughout the museum that the kids, their parents and grandparents can enjoy. Whether following a boat down a river with locks, shopping in a store and ringing up...
