This is a wonderful car museum dedicated to Packards. The museum is in an old Packard dealership. The place is really cool and a must see for old car enthusiasts.

Check to make sure they’re open

Sadly, when we got to the museum, they were closed. For now it seems they have pretty limited hours. I suggest you call before going. Fortunately, we were able to see many of the exhibits through the windows and it wasn’t too far out of our way during our visit to Dayton.

Cool place if you're into Packards
Jun 2021
Great collection of pre-war and post war Packards. Many of the cars have been restored to near perfect condition. There was NO Air Conditioning in half of the building and it was extremely uncomfortable. I might have tolerated that better if there wasn't an enterance fee or if they had waived the fee.
If you have an interest in Packards, this may be the best collection in the U.S.A., if you ae not a Packard fan - probably not worth the fee.

Cruising into history

This was a great place to visit. So interesting. It has been awhile since we visited and need to return again, maybe after Covid loosens its grip on us. Many beautiful cars and items that you would find in a dealership and its garage.

I really enjoyed this site as they had a model which my dad drove when I was a kid. Those were the days before the use of seat belts and one of the back seat hazards was the top of the front seat had a steel bar.

Excellent range of Packards - well done!
Feb 2020
The building is an old Packard dealership. The gentleman who greeted us explained the museum and walked around a little with us, explaining some of the Packard design nuances and interesting history regarding a few of the vehicles. They do a good with information about each vehicle and about the timeframe the vehicle came from. Lots of fine examples of one of my favorite car brands. Well done!

Package Museum Dayton, Ohio

My husband and I went last April. It was very interesting in an old Packard building. It has quite a few old packards which were beautiful. Also had some interesting exhibits showing various car items motor oil, polish, spark plugs. My husband would have stayed longer, but 1 1/2 hours was enough for me. My only negative was it smelled of car fumes and oil.

Had a few spare hours in Dayton and stopped in the Packard museum -- what a pleasant surprise. Enjoyed a review of Packard luxury cars from the past all in new condition. Also parking near the museum was available.

A must see for automobile nuts!
Jun 2019
The museum is located in downtown Dayton, but parking was plentiful. You will see some of the most beautiful automobiles ever build from the early 1900's to the late 1950's. They also have engines on display from the early days to the mid 1950's. It includes engines for boats, planes (even jets)and time.motor vehicles. It is definitely worth the

Car Nut loved it

It’s rather small but has 30-40 cars. It’s located in an old Packard distributor building and I love the older architecture. The cars are not usually restored, so you can get right next to them. Staffed by volunteers who have good stories and information on many things. As a car guy who is fascinated by Brass Era through 1940 cars, I had a great time. Spent 2 hours talking and looking, could have spent more.
