I love Desoto National Park. There is beach area, picnic tables, a neat museum, walking trails, and they have an area where the do old time reanactments. It is wonderful for children to see how people cooked, washed clothes, and got things done before there...More

easy trails, good markers with LOTS of historical info. Views of the river are very pleasant. Shade in most areas. Only thing that was a bit over the top were the cutouts of Indians and other characters ... actors from a re-enactment maybe? Lovely way...More

The DeSoto National Park is a favorite walk for our dog- the trails are fun for everyone and the views from the Manatee river and bay are spectacular! She demands to do this park every Weekend- and we also love it!

De Soto National Memorial Park has historic buildings, an interpretive, informative film and trails with spectacular views. It's a treasure.

I like that you can take your dog with you on the trails. I saw horse shoe crabs and dolphins. Nice trails for walking.
