I went to Titus Canyon at the beginning of February and it was closed to off road traffic due to washout conditions but was still open to hiking. The trail that meanders in the canyon is a great hike, but he sure to bring comfortable shoes or even hiking boots as some soft gravel can cause a quick ankle roll.... More

This is a one way road and it leads the tourist to ever more beautiful settings. Starting with open desert, then dramatic and colorful valleys and mining ruins, and then deep canyon. Not challenging but very beautiful drive. You'll see pretty cacti, colorful rock, and big vistas.

If you rent a jeep, they tell you to start from Beatty because Titus Canyon is a one way road. However, only after driving through the road+canyon in a 4x4 did I realize that the junction from Scotty castle to the entrance of the canyon, which is the last maybe one mile of the road is a 2 ways road.... The first few miles of bumpy driving in our Jeep, we thought this was not going to be very enjoyable. Then we got into the Canyon!! Amazing views and even the kids were amazed!!! But the road is rough in a few places

High clearance, some sand, amazing place to explore, can walk up bottom mile or so, which is actually the tightest part of the canyon.

Titus Canyon is a deep, narrow gorge cut into the steep face of the Grapevine Mountains of the Mojave Desert, within Death Valley National Park in southeastern California and southwestern Nevada. The canyon features limestone rock formations, petroglyphs, and native plants and wildlife - Be aware that it is a 27 mile one way road. Do your research before you... More

Titus canyon is a fantastic off road drive through mountain pass and tight slot canyon. It is not very far in terms of miles but the trip takes hours to complete. The road is rough and steep with big drop offs throughout the pass. I did the drive in a Subaru outback with no issues. While 4x4 may not be... More

Titus Canyon can be visited from a one way unpaved road with high clearance recommended, and it should be required. The road was tough and despite having an All Wheel Drive, high clearance vehicle (Santa Fe), we took our time and there were some hairy spots on this road that went over a mountain pass. I heard bad reports of... More

We did this trip last year. There were 4 couples and we took 2 jeeps.Made a lot of stops along the way to take photos. We had packed a lunch and mad a stop to eat. There is a little bit left of a ghost town. This is a one way road. so you need to find out what roar... More

We made the one-way trip through the canyon in a Jeep, and it was an exhilarating drive. Beautiful views and no one else in sight. You might not think it as the path starts out easy enough, but this really isn't a road for your standard car. Also, it is not a road to travel if there is any chance... More
