It is pretty with good vistas but time is better spent elsewhere. It really all depends on how !much time you have in the valley. I did it as part of a drive to Titus canyon which worked out great. If Titus is not in your plans then look elsewhere for vistas.

This was the road out of the park. The mountains are scenic with panoramic views- would not use this as a destination-too much in park- however a nice road in route planning, just get gas in park before you head out.

The most stunning area to drive through. Literally every road turn has different views. Amazing flowers along the way. Plenty of stop off points so that you can take photos.

What an amazing place to visit. Speechless and breathtaking side scenes. One day is not enough to go around and about.

Comparing with other places in Death Valley there is nothing outstanding here. National park said that there are a lot of flowers here , again nothing special - only desert gold.

Nice views of the mountains and valley that you can see forever. Drove thru both in the morning and evening 2 days (Fri and Sat) since we were not able to stay in the park. Several places to stop and take in the views and take photos.

Okay, you spent the night in Beatty and are headed to the Furnace Creek INN for breakfast.........a smart thing to do. A drive over the pass and into the Valley through the shadows, while looking at wild flowers is a spiritual experience. Leave no later than 6:30AM.

This is the currently open route my wife and I used to go to Rhyolite, Goldwell and Beatty, Nevada. The ride is absolutely gorgeous and is a nice ride.
