Our Christmas family vacation could not have been better. Ski lessons quickly got my teenagers loving the sport. The size of the mountain is immense, with trails of every variety. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and fun. Our accomidations were excellent....More

Great skiing and snow boarding with tons of rental places right around it. Canyon Lodge has plenty of eating options and great outdoor seating! Lots of fun runs and an enclosed gondola:)

i do not snow shoe but i know mammoth well. Tamarack is the center for trails to snow shoe and nordic skiing. My wife used to nordic ski there all the time. she never had a bad time at Tamarack

It can be Smokey but it depends on which way the wind is blowing. Some days are clear some are not. Although any day here is better than being in the Bay Area Smokey or not.
