Great place to go with kids. If the ranger is there you will also get to feed the fish and learn about how CA repopulates trout in our local lakes.

We stopped by with the kids and it was fun to see all the fish and explore for about 30 minutes. Nothing spectacular but we really enjoyed it.

A nice stop on the way to (or back from) Convict lake from Mammoth lakes. You can see fish at various growth stages nicely segregated as shown in the pictures. For all ages!

Real learning experience for all ages. You get to see the trout up close and in all stages of growth and how they raise them to release.

We did not go to the hatchery because we were told it's closed. We did continue down the road to see Hot Creek pools, which definitely is worth seeing.
