There is an old cannon barracks there, recommend bringing a flashlight to walk through them they are really dark..There a big area for kite flying, and nice campsites. Very clean park with a nice trail hike!

Wonderful scenery, good camping slots. The area has a lot of history; both military & civilian. The beach is easily accessible.

From Port Townsend, WA a ferry ride to Whidbey Island is a delightful 30 minute venture. Fort Ebey State Park is near the ferry. It's beautiful to walk along the weather and through woods. Be sure to visit the Fort and lighthouse as well.

They defended us from the Japanese. Who never arrived. It's a good State park now. The battery commanded the straits to Puget Sound.

My sister and I camped 2 nights here in the hiker/biker area and really enjoyed it. Despite the busy pre-holiday traffic at the campground, we had our area to ourselves. We hiked the trails both days of our stay, and also walked the paved Kettles...More
