We stayed nearby and wound up stopping back at the visitor center a few times. We went to the gift shop, saw one of the free movies, ate at the counter, grabbed drinks, bought tour tickets and gathered pamphlets to make plans. It was really nice to have this nearby.

This is the place to get all info on the Independence Hall, Liberty Bell as well as tickets( free, but get there when they open). The movies are wonderful introductions to the history you are going to see. There is also the National Parks Store. If you are a collector of National Parks passport stamps, this is the place to... Right in the heart of the most important historical monuments, the visitors center has answers to everything. You can buy tickets, get information on restaurants, places to go and things to do. Great gift shop and clean plentiful toilets. They have some hands on activities for the kids. We put together the map of the USA.

The employees here are very knowledgeable about both Old Town as well as the rest of Philadelphia. You can get tickets, refreshments and plan your adventures for the day.

This is an excellent visitor center with loads of literature on the various Philadelphia sites and helpful staff. There is even a place to charge one's phone.

warm hall perfect for a Jazz concert. notes hang in the air as you are easily able to make out the various instruments of the evening. The singers voices are crystal clear in this environment as well.

Touring through the displays was a great place to piece together the story of the start of our republic. There was a place to get refreshments and a gift shop as well.

We had a group of six with different interests. The visitor center gave us plenty of ideas, information, pricing and assistance in making our time there productive and fun.

This has to be one of the best Visitors Centers in any city. Located on the corner of Market & 6th Streets on the Independence Mall, the complex is huge. It includes a store and many theaters plus restrooms and bookings for all local attractions including tickets to Independence Hall. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. If it isn't... A great place to start your tour of the Independence Hall area. Tickets for the hall can be purchased here. Kiosks with printed material are available. Nice gift shop and clean, roomy restrooms.
