I love South Street. Lots of great restaurants, bars, unique shops, and people watching. We parked in the parking garage at 11th St and walked all the way to the end of South Street and back again. Along the way we enjoyed all the South Street had to offer. The people were friendly and the vibe was chill. So many... More

Oh! South Street!! There more locals here than there are in the entire city!! It's a nice promenade... Especially after the sunset... It's colorful, lots of lights, different shops, cafes, restaurants, and people! You'll fall in love with it! I mean it!

I really likes South Street. Has a cool vibe. Interesting shops and sites to see like the mosaic building. Good food there too.

Always go when I visit home. Brought my fiance here for the first time in September. We walked around and enjoyed the scenery. Took him for his first real cheese steak and he loved it!

South Street is still a destination, but with so many stores and restaurants gone, its rather sad for people like me that used to go specifically to South Street to enjoy the different shops. The cool shoe stores, the boutiques, have either closed. I think the decline was caused by commercial stores attempting to take over a place that should... More

We enjoyed concert at this small previous movie theather. Note: no fancy very casual. Be open minded. It cozy location the concert we saw was standing room only. There was a few bars with very limited drink selection. Eat and drink before going in for concerts. Because once your in you can not leave. Drinks were reasonably 7 bucks. The... More

Before my most recent visit, it had been quite some time since I'd been on South Street Philly. Flashbacks of my 80s teenage self came flooding in as I walked down the streets, searching for places I'd visited years and years and years ago. Some places remain, some have been shuttered long ago, and some new places have cropped up.... More

It has been over 20 years since I had been to South Street - back in the day when Cafe Nola had great food and the area was abundant with eclectic shops, bars and restaurants similar to Greenwich Village in NYC. I only went to see if it was still a great spot as advertised in our hotel's visitor book.... More

South Street is fun for anyone. Yes, you'll find plenty of eateries and import shops, but what I like most is its historical roots. My favorite area is called "Fabric Row" where many Jewish-owned fabric shops may still be found. I can imagine there were many more a few decades ago. I have shopped for fabric here a number of...
