Take your time when you visit this wonderful museum. The history of the arrival of Jews to the United States and their struggles is beautifully and artfully displayed. In addition an exhibit of Richard Avedon's portraits of powerful US men and women of the 70s...More

We were there for 3 hours. Really interesting. Wouldn't bring children. Not for them. Liked everything about it.

Several reviewers made snide comments about the lack of contributions of Israeli Jews. The five floors spanning 90,000 square feet contain synopses of the...More

This is an incredibly fascinating museum that is also very well organized. Its historical content includes not only the history of the Jews but also of the U.S. It is definitely something visitors to Philadelpia should plan to visit!

This museum was moved and built several years ago. It opened to lots of fanfare including numerous celebrities and political figures. It holds many rare and unusual artifacts from Jewish culture. Although everyone will be impressed, some of the exhibits will be reminders of oppression,...More

The museum does a fine presentation of American Jewish history. The approach is balanced and fair. The mixed media presentations are geared for all ages. We spent 4 hours and probably could have spent another hour or two.
