An exciting museum

Highly recommended for its tapestries and period rooms. We did not have time to visit the galleries of painting and sculpture. Very good food can be found in the cafeteria.

Definitely worth a visit, don't get me wrong, especially if you don't just visit here, but take in the entire area and ambience. I didn't find the museum itself quite as pleasurable as i'd thought, and also felt that some of the less sensational places were worth more time than here, but it still is a meaningful place to experience

Any day at a museum is a long one if you intend to take in all the sights. Be sure to get tickets for additional museum sights when purchasing your tickets. There is an outdoor garden in the back of the museum with art works- the inside and outside of the buildings are works of art themselves. However, after just... More

The Museum is a treasure trove for all. The art speaks for itself but there are also family events, music and get togethers for people to meet. It is a jewel!

The museum accepted donations as entrance fees as it was the first Saturday of the month. The lines were long, it took about an hour to get in, but we enjoyed the museum's collections for about two hours before we had to leave Philly.

You can start with the dramatic architecture and setting above the river on one side and a great view of the sky line on the other - and Rocky's famous steps. The museum is varied and has a number of very famous works such a Deschamp's Nude Descending a Staircase, many American works. It's a major American museum with a... More

In addition to the museum's exquisite setting, there is so much to see and learn. The new Asian wing is amazing. After a day of walking in the crowded city, take a few minutes of quiet sitting within the French Cloister on the 2nd floor. If you are in Philadelphia treat yourself to this incredible experience.

Simply outstanding! Don't miss the Japanese tea house! There is a wonderful collection of Impressionist and post Impressionist work as well.
