Probably the best of the Philly parks I saw. It has some interesting features, including the 'space tree', but wouldn't go out of my way to visit.

Heard about the Eternal Flame here from our Franklin Walking Tour and wanted to pay our respects to all the Revolutionary soldiers who died as prisoners of war. We felt that this was the most worthwhile park we visited. Take the walking tour in comfortable...More

walking thru the park at dusk isn't intimidating at all... in a neighborhood that is seemingly safe and the park is well lit at night... but its a great place to just get away from the hustle in a park like setting... lot of history...More

A block behind the Indepedence Halls and Park, this beautiful Park is easily missed. It felt very safe, lots of early morning yoga etc going on, dog walking and some tourists. The eternal flame burning at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier of the Independence...More

Washington Square Park is an excellent place for a Picnic, Yoga mat, or stroll. It has benches, a water fountain and of course the Monument

I always visit this lovely little park. It has a beautiful fountain. The tomb of the Unknown Soldier of George Washingtons Army is located here. It is a nice area to relax in the middle of a big city.

Catty corner to Indepenence Hall park (back side) this park is often missed by hsitoric district visitiors and that is a shame. The large trees make it cool in summer and it offers a nice respite from the crowds of tourists nearby. Grab a lunch...More

I so enjoy just walking around and seeing the beautiful flowers and trees here. Everyone enjoyed reading the different plaques placed throughout the park. It's worth the time to mosey on through and take in the beauty that is here.
