We went to a wedding which was wonderful set in the historic Cope House, listening to jazz music, great catering, beautiful setting with old English garden and plenty of space, a jewel, wonderful venue for a range of functions at very affordable prices.

This is in Germantown , and this lovely little place is tucked into the city. We attended a wedding there , the setting was magical

We worked with staff at the arboretum to host back-to-back 1.5-day meetings. We set up the tables in a U-shape in the gallery, which was tight with 18 people, but perfect with 14 people. We used a projector to deliver presentations and display notes as we worked. The wifi wouldn't work for more than two or so people at a... More

This is a nice, quiet arboretum with some rolling hills that is worth visiting if you are looking for an area filled with lovely trees and flora in a natural setting. However, if you're expecting more of an arboretum with interactive and informational areas with plenty of labeled trees you're better off going to other places in the Philadelphia region.... More

The lovely Awbury Arboretum is much more modest the other arboretums in the area (i.e. the Morris Arboretum and the arboretum at Bartram's Gardens), although as there is no admission fee, it works itself out just fine. This Arboretum is best enjoyed by rambling along the paths, roads, and open spaces. There are clusters of trees and shrubs all about... More
