The Wilma is one of the more recently constructed theaters in Philadelphia. So it is both reasonably comfortable and has good sight lines and acoustics. Both a theater troupe and a dance company (BalletX) make their home there. Just recently, a café (“Good Karma”) has...More

Last night my wife and I saw Passing Strange at this theater which has recently reopened after renovations. This musical play was not previously known to us, but we know that the Wilma is known for excellent productions...and it did not disappoint. The play was...More

The Wilma Theater provides the best avant guarde drama in Philadelphia. The theater is constructed so that the audience is close to the stage in almost every seat. But that also presents a problem since getting to your seats is sometimes difficult; you must slide...More

We are regulars at the Wilma Theater and find their art and productions are world class and comparable to top shows in London and NYC.

Great theatre that doesn't kill your wallet. Tickets $25 and $10 (students with ID). Comfortable, easy to book, easy to get to. Production we saw not my taste, but companion liked it. Would look for other venues here in a heartbeat.

While staying at the Doubletree hotel next door, I decided to see a show on the spur of the moment. The Wilma theater was open with a new show so I decided to check out the venue. The show itself was $25 and the seats...More

The Wilma is an intimate theater, unusual for its placement of the audience on both sides of the stage. This allows for more seats with a close view of the action. I really don't think there is a bad seat in the house. A recent...More

Except for private events that might require otherwise, jeans are perfectly acceptable. That’s what I wear 80% of the time!
