The Battle of Gettysburg, a turning point in the Civil War, was the Union victory that ended General Robert E. Lee's second and most ambitious invasion of the North. Often referred to as the "High Water Mark of the Rebellion," Gettysburg was the Civil War's bloodiest battle and was also the inspiration for President Abraham Lincoln's immortal "Gettysburg Address."

There's just no way a simple review can do this park justice. It is rich in history, and one can't cover it all in one day. Suggestion would be to buy the audio tour and get an overview of the park by driving through it...More

Our extended family visited this important national park, doing the auto tour first. The cyclorama and movie captivated even our three year old, while eight year old wanted to do both again! He also really enjoyed the Junior Ranger challenge although it was more difficult...More

It is part of history, legend and mythology. Have a tour guide drive you around the battlefield for the price of two adults. The film is a good intro and the cyclorama , a,massive 360 degree painting well worth it . Both at the visitor’s...More

The park was laid out in a way that you have tons of opportunities to pull Over and take a leisurely exploration of every nook and cranny. We unfortunately only had two full days and I definitely needed at least 4. Although I was insistent...More

My friends and I rode our bicycles through here a few weeks ago. One can’t help but imagine what it must have been like for all the soldiers that fought there during the Civil War. It was easy to bike around as long as you...More

We used the audio guide that we purchased in the visitor center gift shop. It was perfect for our family. We did hear a live guide give an amazing speech at Little Round Top describing the battle and that was amazing! There is a nice...More

What a somber but insightful way to learn about our great country's history! We took a Segway tour through the park; amazing!

The sheer size of this beautiful battlefield is amazing. You could literally spend days driving, walking, hiking and still not see everything. Worth coming here if you love and appreciate history. If you are not familiar with the the Battle of Gettysburg and are overwhelmed...More

For the museum, the movie, and the individual guided tour, it cost me a total of $75. This amount covered one adult and one senior.
