Beautiful Memorial

We walked around the cemetery and viewed the grave sites and beautiful monuments dedicated to the lost soldiers. It is a beautiful memorial to lives lost

Amazing awe inspiring location. It is a historic site that must be honored and viewed. The memorial to the fallen is breath taking.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Did a last minute trip while traveling on military assignment. The solemnity & reverence is palpable & a highly recommended visit.

Our group actually participated in a "formation" near Cemetery Hill to the best of my recollection; for a bunch of oldies we took to formation and movement pretty darn good!

You cannot leave Gettysburg without seeing the cemetery. You just can't. Inside, if you look hard enough, you'll find the exact spot where Lincoln gave the Gettysburg address. Very bittersweet

A must stop for all history buffs. However, a kindly worded piece of advice- even though it's historical, it is still a cemetery. It is a place that represents a dark period on our country's history. It's not a place for you to be on your cell phone with you ball hat on. Show respect. Learn something.

The Cemetery is always an interesting place to visit to remind yourself of what transpired here. I would recommend visiting the battlefield first and ending your evening here.

The feeling while walking through the cemetery was like being in a church. For me it really brought home the cost of the battle. The most striking was the graves marked simply "UNKNOWN". If you go take a moment reflect and whisper a "thank you" to those who never went home.

Your visit should not be complete without a visit to the Gettysburg National Cemetery.. The cemetery is one of the reasons why the federal government designated the park as a Nat'l Park. I stood in the cemetery a looked at some of the markers. Many of the soldiers were not more than teenagers. What they encountered often running accross open... More

In our world today where so few of us have to actually go off somewhere to fight, we must all come to place like this and pay our respects in the most sincere way
