Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I really liked this location because it was extremely beautiful to photograph. The large open field with wildflowers looked to pretty in person and looks just as pretty on the camera. I know there’s more important history that happed here, but in the current day and future it’s a beautiful location for photography! It was my favorite place at Gettysburg that I photographed by far!

Perhaps the most powerful of all the stops at the battlefield. You could see the ridge and imagine the troupes engaging each other.

I have visited the Gettysburg National Military Park in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, on 10 occasions and I have walked the length of Pickett's Charge six times, back and forth along the neat, mowed pathway from the Virginia Memorial on Seminary Ridge to the Copse of Trees east of the Emmitsburg Road, three quarters of a mile, just as Pickett's division did on July 3, 1863. It is an eerie feeling to walk in the footsteps where 12,500 Confederates in nine infantry brigades advanced under heavy Union artillery and rifle fire. Although a handful of Confederates were able to breach the low stone wall that shielded many of the Union defenders at the Angle, they could not withstand a Union counterattack and were repulsed with 50 percent casualties, a decisive defeat that ended the three-day battle and Robert E. Lee's invasion of Pennsylvania. As you stand at the stone wall and look across the fields to the Virginia Memorial, you must wonder why Lee ordered the attack. Afterward, he admitted the failure was "all my fault." Though the Civil War lasted for nearly two more years, the Confederacy never fully recovered militarily or psychologically. It was never able to go on the offensive again.

This is definitely the most emotional and impactful site in Gettysburg if you know the history. It's so very sad.
This is also supposed to be the most paranormally active site, but I didn't notice any of that while here, just a lot of sadness.

This makes up a pretty decent part of the driving tour as you drive thru the Confederate lines. Across these open fields the Confederates marched across to try to drive the Union soldiers off the ridge thru cannon and rifle fire. Most of the Confederate monuments are in this area as well.

An important battle in the civil war this is where general Lee's army retreated. This was a great stop to see where this all took place.

This is a mile walk and only worth it with the right guide/narrator. They will let you climb the fence just like the soldiers did during the battle.
