After touring the battlefield, my wife was still a little confused by the size and scope of the battle itself, but we found the diorama late that evening and it was the highlight of the experience for her. It brought everything together so she could...More

The Diorama includes a 20-minute show that walks you through the entire battle, highlighting the applicable areas when relevant to the timeline. We visited the Diorama after the Heritage Center, so we were really able to understand the events and battlefield layout by the end...More

Great way to help understand the 3 day battle. Try to get there early to look over the battlefield. Well worth the time and money.

Perhaps those with children will find it entertaining, but this adult found it disappointing and too commercialized. The diorama is an impressive achievement but the "ghost tour" downstairs borders on cheesy. The film at the National Park visitor center delivers the same info as this...More

Very informative and neat. I loved the walk through with the wax figures and whole walk through in the bottom half/basement was such a cool and fun experience.

Before you go onto the battle field spend the required amount of time to watch this display. It explains how the battle progressed and who was where. Don't worry about scale or specs. It would be hard to put the whole battle onto a small...More

The diorama was very good, though the topographical elevations weren't completely to scale. We got in free for staying at Artillery Ridge Campground and we were glad it was free for us. After seeing the film at the Gettysburg Museum and Visitor's Center this one,...More

The battlefield diorama was huge. Show using diorama was informative. Lots of interesting exhibits and show on lower level.

Thanks for the great review

The diorama is a small-scale version of the town and its surrounding area. The show is a retelling of the three days battle using the diorama, lighting only certain portions of the map for emphasis, and an accompanying slideshow. It really helped to see this...More
