See the ENTIRE battlefield at one time and watch the troop movements for ALL three days of battle. The battlefield covers 6,000 acres, an area large enough to be difficult to visualize. The Gettysburg Diorama will put the battle into perspective when you see the ENTIRE battlefield as it appeared in 1863. Carefully researched and meticulously assembled, the Diorama contains over 20,000 hand-painted soldiers, horses, cannons and buildings. Picture the battle through the eyes of Generals Meade and Lee as a narrative unfolds in miniature with a light and sound effects experience you won't forget.

We weren't sure if we'd enjoy this place, as we had never heard about it before. We went on a Monday morning just after opening and we were the only ones there. The hostess was super nice. It really allows you to see the entire area as if you were overhead. We could see and better understand the Gettysburg area... More

Really puts the birds eye view on the important points of the battle. Fantastic detail in the creation. Video presentation is very detailed and explanatory. The display downstairs which is a little like walking through a haunted house with battle scenes, etc. --was prettty interesting as well. Enjoyable experience.

The artwork on the diorama is amazing as is the history of the place. I enjoyed watching the diorama as well as the movie.

I'm sorry but you have us confused with the Cyclorama. The Gettysburg Diorama is an 800 sq ft model of the entire battlefield and explains the three days of battle. Thank you More

This is an amazing piece of art. You need time to view the whole piece. A real sense of awe for the painter and his interpretation of the battle is right before you.

I had never seen anything like it. To see the war in a painting that is in a circular form is breathtaking

I remember taking my family to see this diorama as one of several points of interest, and we all were very impressed. That was over 30 years ago, and the diorama has started to show its age. The whole place really needs a good cleaning and refurbishing, although many of the items are very interesting and instructional, especially for kids.... More

The Diorama "show" gives you a great timeline for what happened where during the 3 day battle. Hard to get the overall perspective when you are driving around the battlefield. This would have been a good thing to do before touring the battlegrounds.

This was quick and well worth this time and money. Great way to orientate yourself to the 3 days, the lay out of the battlefield and the key battles. We did the Segway's after this - perfect combo!

This is a great attraction to see before the battlefield. It gives you information about the battle and how it transpired over the three days. It shows how the soldiers were moving on the battlefield. It is reasonably priced and doesn't take long

The new facility which houses this massive mural has brought this dramatic artwork to life. Having viewed this many years ago I was not impressed. Now I would recommend this as a must see in Gettysburg. In its new presentation one can barely tell if the figures are painted or real at times. New lighting highlights areas of the battle... More
