Best thing I did in Gettysburg on the anniversary weekend of the Battle of Gettysburg. I can't imagine they don't charge for this performance, but only ask for donations. I'm not sure how often performances occur, but the one I was there for was wonderful....More

We attended an evening service where they shared poems/letters/stories/songs from the time of the battle of Gettysburg. The volunteers did a great job is reading the stories and encouraging people to sing along. The service was not a religious service, but a nice way for...More

This "show" more than explains the events that this town and this particular church experienced as the Battle of Gettysburg hit the town in 1863, it moves you. The stories are real and the song lyrics are moving. The "show" begins outside with music performed...More

You can't beat this for value and content. The Saturday night performance of the churches role in the battle is inspiring. The music, the actors, the content is all great. The cost is a donation of your choice.

Went to the Songs & Stories program on Saturday night. As I saw the people dressed up in Civil War era I'd figure it was a reenacment, so I said cool let's check it out, but basically all it was just a few church members...More

This was the one and only thing that I wanted to do the whole entire time that I was in Gettysburg and I am so very glad that we did. You get to enjoy them singing out front of the church and then you go...More
