A good stopping point to get out of your car and walk around. There is a small little trail that leads around the top of the hill - not difficult at all. Beautiful scenery!

This is a stop within the park. It was a site of intense conflict. You can walk on the rocks and see the views of soldier lines from both sides. It’s eerie as well. Battles have changed so much since then. It is best to...More

If you have any interest or are a Gettysburg historian this is a must visit location. The rock formations are so recognizable if you have seen any of the photos taken during that time that you can almost feel the history.

Be sure to keep an eye out for the turn. This is a very cool place to see. Give yourself at least 30 min to explore.

The rock formations are quite impressive. Weird how they formed in the middle of mostly flat land. We did the driving tour and the road takes you right around and close-up to the formations.

You can see little round top by looking up. The boulders are huge and people were just sitting on top and gazing out. So much sadness here, but very interesting landscape.

Great place to get out and walk around with kids. Like others have said: being there you’re able to imagine the battles - soldiers maneuvering around the large rocks, keeping cover, etc. It was very hot and sunny so remember the sunscreen and water!

No, but I highly advise getting a guide or even buying the DIY CD you put in your car.
