Yes, there is ice in the bottom of this caldera and apparently it stays cold enough for it to remain frozen year around. Personally, I hate to see Mother Nature's offerings fenced-off and become a money-maker. Good little hike down to see the ice cave.

I was able to finish both in less than an hour. I did walk pretty quickly, and probably rushed a little because a storm was coming in. I don't think that it would have taken more than 2 hours at a reasonable pace and reading... More
