This property is as much about the native american settlement of this area as is the Fort Caroline property. Lots of information about the native americans presence here and the french fort.

The landscape of Florida is just so beautiful especially when its left to just grow wild. This area is really interesting looking. The vegetation is fantastic. There's even some ruins that you can see as well.

The trails here can be a bit confusing as the signs are faded. But I still love it. I've been all over the place, amazing array of birds! Spanish pond has breeding herons and egrets, also hawks, roseate spoonbills, etc.

On a road trip north towards home we took a detour to visit Timucuan and it was a nice addition to our trip. The landscapes are beautiful and the Kingsley Plantation is worth a visit.

Timucuan Ecological & Historical Preserve is a great example of preserved plantation architecture tabby construction and well-preserved slave quarters. At the Fort Caroline site, volunteers Mr & Mrs Greenbaum were great -- they were...More

It's far out in the middle of nowhere. Except from car service, maybe there are tours that take you out there. I don't have information on that though.
