The riverwalk is currently under construction so access was limited near the hotel. The walk passes by several of the bridges over the river. There is a small park with restroom facilities along the walk. That was helpful. The walk is used by both visitor and locals. It is a popular spot during the lunch hour.

It has little charm, other than it is a great improvement from how trashy it used to be. It is not a safe place. It crawls with those looking for your $, who would commit a crime to get it. I do not recommend this for anything but large groups that can protect themselves. Please don't bring your children here... More

We parked under the highway bridge in Riverside (parking lot right next to the Cummer Museum of Art) where this portion of the Riverwalk begins and walked all the way to the 3rd bridge (it is BLUE metal, can't miss it) and across there. The blue bridge has a pedestrian walking "lane". On the other side is Friendship Park, very... More

A beautiful riverwalk in the downtown. Night time is even more beautiful. Many hotels and restaurants nearby.

Beautiful area to walk and see the river at its most glamorous. Night time is very romantic, especially if you take the river taxi for a quick tour. The walk is nice and they have live music some nights, that give it a good feel.

I love Jacksonville. I love being outside and appreciating Jacksonville. The Riverwalk is the perfect place for this. It is great for walking and biking for as little or as long as you want. I wish where I was staying was closer, I would be here everyday!

We liked the river walk, there are nice views of the city, the Friend Ship Fountain, MOSH is nearby as well as the Main Street Bridge and Jacksonville Landing. We decided if we were there we may as well do everything that was in walking distance and we did. The only negative was the homeless people near the bridge and... More

I enjoyed spending the afternoon at the Riverwalk. It is a lovely outdoor area with plenty of restaurants along the way. You can also take a quick cruise along a section of the St John's river for only $7

Attractive mural under bridge and a cool walk over the bridge at night and or day. Nothing else to do around there, though. Friendship Fountain can be viewed- best at night for colors.

The Riverwalk is a neat area to just walk, jog or run or ride a bike. There is several things close by to see. Restaurants, small parks and the MOSH is close by. Take a few minutes and watch for dolphins swimming by.
