Beautiful place to visit...

Animals are well taken care of and the park is very clean. The new baby tiger was out and that was great to see. Don't miss this if your Jacksonville.

It was our very first visit for my husband and I on our wedding anniversary. It's funny guests and employees alike said it was unusually busy for a Saturday. So we were stuck in line for a half hour or so and we had to go to the Guest Services line after already waiting a long time. We were so... More

Fun day with the Grand kids! We learned to take the train then walked back! Covered areas we had missed the last time! Favorites included tigers, lizards and the birds. We even got to have interactions with the birds! We also spent much more time at the play area this visit. We will be back again!

First and foremost, Tish is the bomb! So knowledgeable, friendly and easy to relate to. It's so refreshing to see someone explain the natural wild behaviors of animals in human care and how similar they are and why. I know more about primates than I ever have and have a new found respect for the dedicated keepers at the Zoo!... More

My son loved the train ride and we were in line to feed the giraffe, but the baby go full so we had to leave. If the attendant had given each child one twig vs. 3 or 4 per child the line would have moved along a little better and more children would have been able to have a memorable... More

I've visited many zoos over the years and was very impressed with the one in Jacksonville. It is a large zoo with a wide variety of wildlife and unlike some large zoos, we were able to see all the animals up close. We arrived at 11am and didn't leave until 5pm! Our eight year old twins were completely entertained, as... More

This is a great zoo. From Sumatran Tigers to Anacondas, this zoo has nice exhibits. Fun for the kids. The train rides on rails around the property. You can arrive by your personal boat and moor to the pier. There is a Lion loop, a Gorilla loop, a Florida loop (with alligators and Florida Panthers), a Giraffe loop, a very... More

Very nice mid-size zoo with wonderful tiger habitat! Nice Japanese garden with seating areas & picnic tables, too! Bring in a picnic lunch or visit one of the food vendors. There's also seating out by the river in the shade with a view. You can rent watercraft there as it's right on the river. There's a train that runs on... More

Great place to kill an afternoon. Kids really enjoyed seeing all the animals. Large variety. Elephants, Lions, Tigers, Bears, Rhinos, Giraffes. There is a spot where you can feed the giraffes, kids loved that. Kids has a blast. It's a zoo where you get to see about every animals you'd want and that a zoo could offer. Family of 6... More
