This hidden gem in Jacksonville is so close to the main highway but you feel like you're a million miles away. So many trails and paths to take, and different environments all in one small place.

The Arboretum is located on 100 acres of undeveloped land which contain 19 unique ecosystems. Still in its infancy, the Arboretum consists largely of trails that traverse the different ecosystems, all developed and maintained by community volunteers. There is the beginning of a fine formal garden area and there are restrooms and shelter available but no visitor's center or other... More

Brought my Mom and Sister-in-law for a lovely walk. Paths have a few roots here and there but easy walking. Beautiful scenery and informative signs about the ecosystem of the area, plants and creatures. Donation fee only and dog friendly.

Limited facilities, but beautiful Florida trails. Bring bug spray at peak times, and carry water- not much other than trails.

Atleast once a week we come here to get out and walk around. There are so many choices of paths and walkways every visit is a new adventure. The kids love it because they can almost choose their own adventure! This is great exercise for our dog also. You're in the city, but feel far away from it. We love... More

If you are planing to go to Jacksonville, you have to go to this Museum. There offers some exhibitions and there are so beautiful English and Italian gardens. The view from the garden is amazing. The price per ticket per adult - 10 USD.

My wife and I work in the landscaping field and like to visit gardens and arboretums to see plants that are not native in our area. Normally we find at arboretum's most, if not all, the plants are marked or labeled. At Jacksonville Arboretum we found less than 10% of the plants labeled. The one's that were labeled were the... I LOVE SQUIRRELS, you see them everywhere. Went on a long walk through all the trails. It's very windy and more of the same again and again but if you like a calm walk through what feels like the middle of a huge forrest, its perfect.

This is a nice arboretum. It has trails and maps and I love how it shows about how many steps each is for kids and adults. Easy to spend a short or longer while at. Beautiful and diverse nature. Parking was easy and it's easy to get to. Nice place to spend some time in nature, walking, sitting, or otherwise.... More

We have visited the Arboretum many times, over many seasons. Lots of parking available. Several well marked nature trails to choose from. Picnic area. Covered areas for family gatherings can be scheduled. The plant life is abundant and well marked. There is even a record sized tree within park. Bathroom (co-ed) was available.
