The Jacksonville Arboreteum & Gardens is a beautiful place. The plants are so neat, and their associated signs are excellent for learning more about them and the landscapes. The trails are very well maintained as well. I visited with my dog and saw several other dogs there. There was also a doggy water bowl so dogs can stay hydrated. It... More

I went thru alone....didn't get to experience the whole thing...but from what I saw, I liked and would come back again to visit. I love the price and I am a plant buff.

This Arboretum is cared for by volunteers -- and they deserve a huge "thank you" for their wonderful effort. They have made a good effort to label and identify many of the plants. The paths are sandy and very easy to traverse. SIgnage warns about alligators, but we did not see any. The arboretum closes strictly at 5pm. There are... More

This is a free park. It is volunteer maintained. Lots of paths with varying degrees of difficulty. Beautiful small lake. Very natural setting with different trees and plants identified. Great for meandering or power walking. There is a picnic area near the entrance so you can bring your lunch and enjoy sitting in a beautiful, natural area. We went on... More

My boyfriend and I spent most of our first date here and fell in love with it. We love to just go on random days and see the new flowers, walk the trails, and check out the water front. I can imagine getting married here, its so beautiful and means a lot to us. We also love the artburEATum every... More

Even locals seem unaware of this quiet place to walk, explore, picnic, and unwind! I've taken my family two or three times, and the kids loved it. There are many kinds of trees, bushes, and flowers to be discovered, along with insects, swimming snakes, and, yes, even gators (reported in the pond). There are a few picnic tables not far... More

It's not a formal garden, but a natural area that has some help from volunteers who weed and plant native plants. Do yourself a favor and grab a map on the way in and don't "wing it" through the trails. Not especially long, they often connect and if you're not paying attention you could be in for a longer walk... More

I read this trail was moderate but it was very easy. There are many connecting trails so you can make the trek short or long depending on how you feel. It's easy to navigate and signs are easy to understand. Great place to take kids or go for a walk to see some of the wildlife of Florida! If you're... More
