Located a few blocks off the river, this historic park is medium sized, with spacious lawns, large trees, a playground and pond with many waterbirds.

When I first moved to Jacksonville in 2001, I rented a room from a woman who owned a house right by the St John's River. She also was a member of RAP, a historic homes preservation society, who used to host the Riverside Art Festival in Riverside Park. Vendors and artists from all over the state and the southeast would... More

Our family loves this park! It has two playgrounds, is fenced in, has a pond with birds and the occasional turtle, and is within walking distance of the Riverside Arts Market, Cummer Art Museum, and many restaurants.

Huge, old trees. A great area for your naturalists to run around. A fun pond with ducks and geese. Wonderful playground. All it is missing is bathrooms!

This is a lovely park which is clean and well maintained We parked on the street as not sure if there is an official carpark Would have been nice to see an ice cream van or perhaps a little cabin selling soft drinks however it's only a short walk away to Food & Drink areas. Especially liked that there was... More

There is a variety of equipment with separate areas for younger and older children. It is walking distance to five points where food and drinks are available. There is a pleasant amount of shade. There was a little graffiti on benches, but no trash on the playground.

Parking is plentiful on the side streets, and the tress are great for climbing. The park itself has good equipment for both younger and older kid's and the duck pond makes for a nice place to read a book.

Ideal for an outdoor, cost efficient (free) day trip to take your kids on. There is a large playground, expansive duck pond, walking trail and benches. Perfect for a picnic lunch. Located near area attractions. My favorite part was watching the squirrels chase one another up and down and around the trees.
