Didn't know the column was under renovation, it was all covered up. The view from the parking lot of the surrounding areas below were breath taking though..

Although they are renovating the column, it's an amazing site to see even in the process they are going through. A large well maintained area covered with grass blends in with the area and with the weather we have been having, no one should miss this attraction that looks out over an expansive many miles any direction.

Even though the column itself was being renovated and so couldn't be seen when we were there, the view was spectacular, so it's worth a drive up the hill.

There is no other place that in the area that gives you the same breathe taking view that you get from the top of Astoria Column. Buy a toy glider at the gift shop and send it loft from the top. There are also areas that you don't have to climb the stairs to the top of the column to... More

This was a disappointing destination as the column is covered by a tarp and cannot be seen. Also, the $4.00 parking fee is still being charged which I think is ridiculous since the attraction is closed. The view is great, and the gift shop is still open. I would advise everyone to check and see if the restoration is complete... More

This is always a must see especially if you can climb the stairs. The view is spectacular and the kids love to climb the spiral staircase.

This is a very interesting landmark. Loved the history of it. And it is huge, cant imagine the size until you stand beside it. Awesome!

It was covered in scaffolding and the road was closed. Other than that it was a beautiful view of the area.

Column is was being restored so could not go to the top, but definitely will be back to do that. Artwork looks awesome. Even without being able to go to the top, the views were really incredible. Of course, did not hurt that it was a clear, sunny fall day.

The Tower was closed for renovation or repair so only the concessions can be rated. Parking was very limited and was not free. The visitor center had many unique souvenirs for sale. The view from the foot of the tower was quite nice and one could imagine the view from the top being much nicer.
