We were attracted by the shipwreck called Peter Iredale but realized the shipwreck is a tiny part of the whole thing this hidden gem has to offer. Check out the yurts and cabins while you're here. We will be back for sure

Was in the area bird watching so decided to make a stop here. Did not see much in October, but did watch a USGC helo for a bit. Nice park.

We visited on cloudy, rainy day, and we were not able to see much. We did visit the observation tower overlooking the break between the ocean and the river. It was amazing, very windy, and loud.

The beach at Fort Stevens State park was nice and clean. On this trip we were only interested in seeing the ship wrecked Peter Iredale.

We were just there in late June and you should bring bug repellent. Not swarms like in the Midwest- but enough that we all had mosquito bites.
