We had had a busy day and thought that a trolley ride looked just about right. It was! The ride was informative and the volunteer engineer and conductors were entertaining! Oh yes, the ride cost $1.00 and lasted a good half hour! Just sayin' a...More

The trolley was great and we learned a lot about Astoria from the volunteers. One secret, the trolley stops at all the designated areas but if you want to jump on anywhere along the tracks, you have to wave a dollar bill in the air....More

Paying $1 to enjoy the riverfront and listen to historical and practical information about Astoria and its historical event and people is a steal. It is run by volunteers totally, even the maintenance crew.

For a dollar roundtrip you cannot get a better value. The trolley is a hop on, hop off ($5 all day). Our conductors did a great job in pointing out the highlights along the water front. The only disappointment was the poor quality of the...More

This is about an hour ride on an old trolley run by volunteers. They provide a lot of information about the history of Astoria. If you stay on the trolley for the entire ride it's only $1 per person. If you choose to get on/off...More

I love the trolley. You can ride the whole trip, or jump off and get back on at different stops on the Riverwalk. The volunteer conductor(s) tell great stories during the ride.

The trolley men were very informative of the sights to see, and very enjoyable. Takes about an hour to ride both ways.

Really enjoyed this slow ride along the waterfront and the commentary provided by the drivers who are volunteers. Round trip only $2 and you cane get on and off along route. Great way to spend a half hot or so.

Stayed right next to the river front and was excited to not have to get in the car and drive down to get dinner. But the trolley stops at 6pm even in summer when the sun stays out until 9. Oh well Astoria.

My personal experience is that I have never had to wait in a long line for the trolley. I suppose it is possible, but have never experienced it.

I agree with other responses addressing trolley. There are seats front to back and you have to pull seat back to go on opposite direction. You do have to take steps up from ground to get in. Check with web or chamber of... More
