We enjoyed stopping at Fort Laramie which has a visitors center and we took advantage of the self-guided tour. They are working and restoration of the site and it's easy to imagine the old west and the settlers while standing in the environment.

The self guided tour was just right. Renovations and reclamation efforts were extremely well done. We absolutely enjoyed this visit and could really feel the old West come alive.
