I am a native of Baltimore and recall a time when this zoo was thriving and had every kind of animal you could imagine and the people at the entry window were excited to see you. Well, all good things must come to an end. I am an active military member and tried to obtain the military discount that is... More

Visited today with my 15 year old daughter on our way to the Inner Harbor. Was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't crowded and was shaded in areas to escape the 90 degree heat. We got close to the giraffe and my daughter actually got to feed one. One of the chimps was resting right up at the glass and we... More

We went on a very hot Saturday, but the zoo wasn't as crowded as I thought it might be, and should be. The place is arranged nicely, and has some unusual animals. I really enjoyed the openness of the animal areas, which allowed some fine photographic opportunities. There are also some animals I'd never heard of, and birds of wondrous... More

When you pay and enter the Zoo grounds, you can take the tram on a four minute ride to where the exhibits start, or you can walk for eight minutes (mostly downhill) through a nice shaded section. If the Tram is not there, or the line looks too long, I would recommend walking to the exhibits and taking the tram... More

Went to the Zoo with the kids on field trip and they loved it. Some of the animals didn't come out but it was still fun. The weather was cooperative thank goodness!

Make sure you give yourself at least 3 hours to see the whole zoo. It closes at 4 on weekdays and we got there at 2 and didn't get to see it all. What we did see was great!

This zoo exceeded my expectations! Knowledgable & friendly staff! Great exhibits that my 3 year old could see. Feeding giraffes is awesome! Can't wait to go back!

We managed to have a good time. However the exhibit's are small, and over all the zoo was disappointing. I wish we had made the hike to D.C. for the zoo. Locals had advised us to do so, next time we will listen.

The zoo was smaller than ours in Pittsburgh but very nice and lots of shade also get free ride to entrance and exit of zoo, parking was free and we got there earlier since they were having an event at 1pm and by then it was busier

The zoo has changed so much since I was a child. We had a great visit last week. We liked it so much we purchased a membership. The new penguin exhibit was so much fun.
