After walking upward, you can see the beautiful monument surrounded by green park. In the park there are some statues. Good place for walking around.

One of the nicest part of Baltimore. The neighborhood is quite calm and safe. Several restaurants around and small parks

Interesting but I would not make a point just to see this and leave. Make it a part of an overall tour through the small park areas, the Pope John Paul II prayer garden, the Walters Museum, and Peabody Library.

Beautiful view of the Washington monument with surrounding flags all around. We weren't able to go to the top because it was closed due to elevator maintenance. We walked around took photos close by was WWII memorial and a walks way if the Jefferson monument. We then slower walked toward tidal basin and took the circulator bus back to terminal... More

This is a wonderful monument in the middle of Baltimore commemorating George Washington. There is an exhibit at the bottom which gives the history of the site, and then a 227 step climb to the top of the monument. The views from the top in all directions are worth the climb.

The Staff was super friendly and were quite amused that a foreigner like me (I'm from Costa Rica) had such an interest for the monument! The views from the top are one of a... More

We were traveling around and found this monument and knew we had to stop. The D.C. monument is grander but this one exemplifies Washington's style, humble and done well.

The whole area is beautiful. You can reserve timed tickets online for the monument, as they only allow 5 climbers at once. You are climbing over 200 stairs, but it was a pretty easy climb. It wasn't as narrow as some monuments. The views from the top are nice, but the glass windows prevent great pictures. Informative exhibit on first... More

Neat monument, which we learned was the first Washington Monument, with an excellent view of the city. Be prepared to climb up a lot of steps.
