Come to Mt Vernon in Baltimore, Md for the annual book festival . it is an outdoor event. It is the end of September of each year. There are arts and crafts for the children as well as plenty of reading materials. Walk around in the often warm fall air and hear some author new or old read from one... More

Walk around and see all the history around you. Go on a walking tour to fill in the details. You will find the Walters museum, the library, which you my visit, very old architecture and interesting churchs with Tiffany windows

We walked in the Cultural District for several hours. The cobblestone streets are tricky to walk on, I tripped and took a fall, so walk carefully. The beautiful old buildings are being restored in many blocks, the architecture is stunning. Loads of antique shops!

Mount Vernon is a lively neighborhood. There are a lot of nice restaurants and coffee shops in the area, as well as clubs and bars. I'm impressed with the number of Indian and Thai cuisine that's available on Charles Street as well. The area surrounding the Washington Monument is worthy of a good stroll. You'll get to see a mini... More

The area surrounding the Washington Monument is worthy of a good stroll. You'll get to see a mini park, preserved streets, and the Walters Art Museum. There's a few hotels in the area as well. In the summers, there are concerts held here. On Charles Street, there are always things to do and eat.

We will have a family wedding at the Engineer's Club in October and wanted to visit the area (with the bride & groom). It is a lovely area and the Engineer's Club is quite elegant. The park across the street is actually where the wedding will take place, at the foot of the Washington Monument. We are really looking forward... More

Very ecclectic place to see! Take a walking tour through this area and you will not be disappointed: little stores, museums, old and famous buildings, good multi-cultural restaurants! A gem of this city!

This is a nice place for a stroll on a sunny day. The historic buildings are lovely and you must stop in at the Engineers Club and look at their magnificent wooden staircase. A well-kept secret which was told to me by a local.

One reviewer said "nice walk but not much else" .... But that's just the tip of the iceberg. It is a lovely square that once was the epicenter of elite Baltimore. The mansions that line the square nowhouse cultural treasure troves like The Walters Art Museum and the Peabody Conservatory. Take a peek inside the latter to see the lovely... More
