Walking into E Shavers brings back memories of small town, quaint bookstores as opposed to the giant warehouse options now available. Cats roam freely, multiple levels offer books of every genre and price. After browsing I found several gems that I simply had to have....More

It could be the only real bookstore in Savannah. . . it surely is the only one we could fine. The biography and history sections are particularly well stocked and chosen. Very pleasant and refreshing to visit a real book store like this.

We caught a glimpse of the store during our walking ghost tour and made sure to go back the next day. Great bookstore and nice variety of teas.

Great bookstore! I'm from Portland, home to Powell's Books, so a bookstore has to be very special to catch my eye. E. Shaver is the perfect place to browse. They have a great selection of everything: fiction, new releases, history, local, children's, cooking & gardening....More

I love independent bookstores but today it was all about a perfectly brewed cup of Savannah Breakfast and some lovely oaties from Scotland. I rested my tired feet while I relaxed on a comfy settee in a small, cluttered and utterly comfy sitting room. Next...More
