Beautiful both at night and during the day. Street lined with shops, restaurants and bars. Great views of the river and bridge. We enjoyed the ambiance. Wear comfortable shoes as streets are cobblestone and the stairs down to the river can be a challenge to some. Elevator in Bohemian and other large hotel.

Out of all the areas to visit in Savannah, I think River Street is my favorite. There is something for everyone. There are tons of shops and plenty of restaurants.

Beautifully restored restaurant and shopping district where you can also watch the container ships leave the port. Enjoyed the WW2 Memorial site and the Savannah Bee Company. Must have a praline bear claw while there.

This is a must have for any tourist ...and for any local. There's a lot of great shops (candy kitchen) places to eat (boars head) and bars (wet Willis) this is a happening place during St Patrick's Day.

There are all types of souvenir shops along the street. Hard to find good parking after noon unless you luck up on someone leaving the area. If you don't want to... More

A lot of history. Neat places to go day or night to eat, sight see, hang out, people watch, and have drinks.
