    A Must Visit
We visited this weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful park, fountain, farmers' market, artists and neighborhood. There are playgrounds for kids and the Collins Quarters Cafe too. We absolutely loved it! It felt like a miniature Central Park!

    Wonderful trip!!
We stayed at The DeSoto and loved it. Trolley tours were educational and enjoyable, and River Street was lots of fun and amazing things to see. Forsyth Park was beautiful and entertaining, and lunch there was delicious! We’ll go again I hope soon to visit places we didn’t have time for this trip!

    Pretty park
Forsyth Park is iconic and if you are traveling in Savannah one of those spots that you are expected to see. The fountain was purchased for $2,000 by mail order and has been several different colors. It is a very pretty little space.

I Thought The Fountain Would Be Bigger
Forsyth Park was a great green area and the fountain was pretty. However, I thought it would be a little bigger! We had a nice time exploring the areas beyond the fountain too like the playground and Civil War monument.

    Underwhelming
Again a little underwhelming for me. On the Saturday we were there the farmers market was on in the morning which made it more than average but without it there wouldn’t have been a huge amount to see. As city parks go this wouldn’t even feature in my top 10.

    Early morning photos
The highlight of this park is the beautiful backdrop of the fountain for photos - it's quite romantic. Went on a Wednesday afternoon in July and although it wasn't as busy as o thought it'd be, it was quite hot out. The best time to take the photos was early in the morning when I went back the following day at 7am just after sunrise.

    Amazing trees
The trees and fountain are beautiful. I visited on a weekday morning. There were people walking or jogging mostly around the exterior of the park. There were also people playing tennis and basketball. Parking in the lot seemed to be free. I walked in the interior parts of the park and it wasn’t very crowded. I was able to take photos without lots of people in the background. I saw a few potentially homeless people including one laying down and wrapped in a sleeping bag or something. I also saw a woman alone doing yoga. I didn’t feel unsafe at all. The fountain was great, but I loved the amazing trees the most.

    Active park
This is a lovely park in the historic district with lots of activities going on. There are always people enjoying the park, trees and also has a farmer's market, music festivals, artists and of course the lovely fountain. You can find clean public restrooms here as well.

    Mesmerizing views
My husband and I were in town for our anniversary and this park is a Beauty. Saturday mornings are a must for the market. You will find artists, farmers and so much more selling their goods. The grounds are beautiful and insta worth pictures for all.

This park is beautiful and a nice place to take a walk. There are 2 parking lots, one near the restrooms and the other on the side of the tennis courts. It is a great walk with a lot of it being shaded. The fountain is beautiful and the top spot of the park.

Nice park in the neighborhood. The fountain is the highlight. There was an art fair while we were visiting. Nice area to take a stroll and get out of the heat under the shade of the trees. Surrounded by a beautiful neighborhood. The old homes are so charming.

Lovely park. A nice respite amongst the trees and the fountain. They have a restaurant on site, as well as a splash pad, and a fragrance garden.

Beautiful park...especially at sunset. The fountain was amazing. Very active place, even at night. If you are a first time visitor to Savannah, you MUST see this place. Be prepared to walk, because parking is hard to find close by.

We took the free dot bus to the park and then walked around. It’s a gorgeous public space with plenty of shade. We saw people playing catch with their dogs, picnicking, and napping. There are basketball courts, tennis courts, and playgrounds. While there are many people biking, parts of the park are pedestrian-only. Of course, the famous fountain is lovely, but there’s also an arboretum and plenty of flowers. Lots of shade and benches are there to let you just relax and enjoy the scenery.

Definitely walk around this park. There are a number of historical confederate monuments to see, and the large trees with Spanish Moss are an impressive sight as well.

We stayed at a rental by Forsyth Park. It was awesome to be by the park. Fun just walking park, kids enjoying the playground, viewing the beautiful fountain, and enjoying the various activities at park. This is a huge park (30 acres) with awesome live oaks and more trees providing shaded sidewalks. On Saturday morning Vendors set up a variety of crafts for sale. As you walk you may see a graduation party, a wedding, or photo shoots for magazines- especially on weekends. The Collins Quarter Forsyth offers great breakfasts and lunches inside or outside on a beautiful outdoor terrace. There is even a walk-up window by the playground. Weekdays are less crowded making for relaxing strolls at the park.

Beautiful historic park with three beautiful water fountains. Love the history and enjoyed seeing it at night by a pedicab driver.

When it comes to appreciating quintessential Savannah, Georgia, a case has got to be made for spending some quality time in Forsyth Park.

Ever try an internet search for images of Georgia (especially Savannah)? Well if those search results featured beautiful lines of Spanish Moss adorned trees beckoning you to a beautiful fountain, yeah you were probably gazing at pics of Forsyth.

This 30 acre sanctuary is nestled within the North Historic District and features an outdoor concert venue, large grassy areas for frolicking (or catching some rays), basketball courts, softball fields, tennis courts, and a sizable playground for the kiddos.

No big deal you say? Not sufficiently unique to pique your curiosity? Well in that case I “see” your ambivalence and “raise” you a “fragrant garden.”

Hello? Is this 🎤 on? Yeah, you heard me just fine. Although the enclosed Fragrant Garden was primarily intended for the enjoyment of the visually impaired, all are welcome to “sit a spell” and enjoy the various scents found wafting about.

You can spend as little (or as long) as you like here, but failing to make some time for Forsyth Park means that you only “mostly” experienced Savannah.

And that’s…Henry’s Take.

The park is beautiful. When I go there, it is very calming. It is an easy walk with the dog. It is worth seeing. It has an added bonus of the fountain and the architecture that surrounds the park
