I attended a Nature Hike led by John "Crawfish" Crawford that was incredible! We started our time in the auditorium learning about Skidaway Island and the Georgia coast and then the next two hours on a lovely hike. I learned fascinating information about how the islands formed and their history, and details on everything from what happens to land when... More

This is a small sized aquarium with maybe a dozen tanks with all local Georgia/Atlantic sea creatures. There was a logger head turtle, some larger ocean fish like red drum, a stingray, sea horses, and a bunch more. The highlight for our kids was the touch tank with whelks, hermit crabs and horseshoe crabs. We went mid-week in the October... More

We decided to venture out into the wildlife in Savannah to view the good ole outdoors. Unfortunately, the trails and walking paths near the UGA Aquarium were still closed and being worked on by volunteers. However, the Aquarium was open. The kids had fun looking at the different types of turtles, fish, and alligators in the building. They were disappointed... More

A nice little aquarium. Sea life indigenous to Savannah area mostly and baby alligators. Touch tanks with different crab types were fun for the little ones. Nice nature trails with plenty of wildlife, right on the water. Staff seemed a little confused when I asked if they had a ramp for wheelchair/strollers into the main area, and was told no.... More

This is a small center, various tanks and a touch pool, along with a nature walk. Our group was adults, and small children - under 5 years old. We all enjoyed the tanks and the children just loved the touch tanks. The walk was pleasant with views. If your looking for something to do for about 1 to 1 1/2... More

Very inexpensive admission for a very nice little aquarium with lovely fish and turtles. The nature trails wander through picturesque moss covered forest overlooking the wetlands. Our 3 year old loved it.

This simple little museum was a huge hit with our grandchildren. Puff fish, sea horses, a magical dark tank with jellyfish. Everything was up front and personal. Not crowded. Kids can get close to the tanks. Most popular might be the touch tank where they can touch crabs, shells, etc. They also have a ton of coloring sheets, maps (an... More

The aquarium is definitely on the small side and only takes children about 30 minutes to go thru. The touch tank is nice. The admission is cost effective for a couple visitors but if you have 3 or more people in your family / group the price of admission will not be worth it. Travel Tip: Skidaway Island State Park...
