Dive bar somehow connotes dirty or not nice. This is just a simple bar that for some unknowable reason has hitched their star to Pabst Blue Ribbon. Aside from that it is cash only, no really drinkable wine and no food. But nice friendly locals just having a brew.

Ok so it's a dive bar but it's a dive with history! Jimmy carter announced his run for the presidency in this exact location! The drinks were made properly and reasonable prices too. It was crowded but our pub crawl also brought a group. Funny thing, our carriage tour driver told us a few hours earlier that we had to... More

Local Savannahians, all go to Pinkie Master's! It has the distinction of being the very location from which Jimmy Carter Launched his 1976, successful bid for President!! The new owners Matt and Mike have cleaned the place up, and still offer the same $4.00 Happy Hour that is legend, in this landmark place!! Aside from them , Burke, is the... More

Sometimes you just need to enjoy a PBR with locals while listening to retro music and enjoying vintage art and photos in a joint that takes you back to the 70's.

Pinkies is a true dive bar, which is just what I was looking for. I gave it three stars because I don't think it is for everyone, but for me it is really a 4 star bar because of the staff. Showed up at noon, the door was unlocked but they had not officially opened. They still served us beer... More

Friendly people, eclectic group of locals and tourists. No food, just drinks. Jukebox interesting selections, Frank Sinatra to Blues, rock and country. Sing-a-longs with the locals are fun times. Leave cell phones off, people talk in this bar to each other. Good source of learning local attractions.

This bar is the type we would duck into and spend hours in usually. We stopped in and were never acknowledged or helped. Sad as we would have loved to have had the experience others obviously had. Maybe we came in on an off night, but after waiting 20 minutes, we parked it elsewhere.

Cheap drinks, more locals , fun bartender. We visited on a previous visit to Savannah and made sure to come back since we heard they may be closing. What a loss of a local landmark!

We loved this bar! Shannon, the bartender was great, and the regulars are friendly and helpful! We got a lot of travel tips and heard a lot of Savannah stories here.
