Stopping in at Savannah State Farmers Market at about 9 o'clock on a Saturday morning, my daughter and I found only two open market vendors. We stopped at Stokes Produce as this stand seemed to have more variety. The other vendor was several hundred yards away at the opposite end of the market. We purchased Georgia peaches, sugar plums, a seedless watermelon and freshly fried BBQ pork rinds. A $21.00 purchase that they reduced to $20.00 upon request. Stokes Produce had a few dozen fruit and vegetables to choose from, boiled peanuts, hibiscus bushes and even sod for your lawn. When choosing a watermelon, the young lady working that stand taught me how to knock and what to listen for when picking a fresh melon. Georgia peaches and sugar plums were fresh and juicy. My daughter and I ate most of them on the drive home to Florida. She didn't care for the pork rinds, but I found them fresh and tasty. We haven't eaten the watermelon yet, so I cannot report on that. Polite and friendly staff - they answered all of my questions. A decent experience, but I expected more vendors. William E. Lewis Jr. Vero Beach, Florida.…

Babe's Market place was inside the farmer's market. Food was good and fresh. It was served hot and the waitress kept out drinks topped off.

Walked around the market for a few minutes and didn't really find anything we really liked. It is pretty small and has some local goods available.

It was a shame because I was looking forward to checking out the farmer's markets in Savannah. Being the Christmas season I'd made a point to check their holiday hours on facebook and found no updates. There was absolutely nothing there when we went (and we had gone at the beginning of the week). It was a shame. I would have liked to check it out.…

The Farmer's Market at Forsyth Park was great! We had so much fun picking out local and organic food to cook up in our vacation rental.
