Year-'round theater with a variety of offerings, from the annual Capitolfest showing of classic 1920s-1930s silent and talkie movies, to big-screen showings of more recent popular movies and locally-produced live musicals.

The capital theater was a great stage for the young ladies of the dance studio! The insides could use a little "make up"... but it is a historical gem of the area!

A fun place to see a old movie, or other show. We went to the rising stars production, with school kids. It was a lot of fun. The theater is perfect for this, and we had a great time. It is very interesting to see...More

Go back to the days of classic features on the big screen shown in restored 35mm, or early silent films accompanied by the gorgeous original theater organ. It needs a little cosmetic work, but it has so much to offer even without the pancake makeup....More

I went to a Christian concert here. It was great! It was so nice to hear top artists here in Rome. It is an older theater, but has a lot of character. I hope they have more.

Half the seats in this place are ratty and literally falling apart. I also went home with flea bites all over my ankles and legs (probably thanks to the cat that they let roam all over the theatre.) I enjoyed the Art Deco architectural details,...More

If your ever in the area and want some great entertainment check out their schedule. There is always something for every one to see. Summer Stage puts on at least two great musicals with a full pit orchestra. There are traveling acts such as the...More

Capitolfest is held each August at this magnificent 1928 theatre. The selection of films is top-quality. The silent film presentations are enhanced by the magnificant Mohler organ, still in its original placement. Sound films are equally enjoyable in either rare 35mm or digital presentations. The...More
