Great park, very welcoming, lot of daily activity, hot local hangout in the summer. There were movies in the park on some evenings, music on others. It is such a pretty spot to hang out. Be sure to check the rose garden, blooms the size of a man's hand across! Watched folks do yoga, play, read, eat, and generally enjoy... More

One of my favorite places in Vancouver. This park is perfect for tourists and locals alike. In the summer they have a water area for the kids to play in, they also have a big gazebo with occasional live bands, and a solid play area. Plenty of grass for picnics and also in the heart of downtown so it's easy... More

We were there on the weekend so the Farmer's Market was going. It was a small farmer's market but had lots to choose from. Lots of people leaving with bags full of vegetables and goodies.

This is a popular spot for events in Vancouver. Everything from the jazz festival to six to sunset (summer concert series), this is the place to be. During the farmers market, there are often events going on at the park. So you can grab a bite at the market then wander over to the park. There are lots of shops... More

If you like walking a Farmers Market and seeing what locals are selling I recommend it. Dog walking is acceptable as long as it's well trained and there are no surprises.

Really pretty park to walk around in. Has an actual bell tower that rings on the hour. There's a sweet little art gallery in one corner of the park that was fun to go through, featuring local artists.

My wife & I spent a week in Vancouver WA hosted by our dear friends. Although I had been to Esther Short Park on vacation on two previous occasions in the 80's & 90's, I was delighted to see how this area had blossomed and retained this special communal area. During our visit I found a "Vancouver rock" as described... More

This place is great. All local food. Was really impressed. I baught some salami made local along with bread, gluten free cookies, and shrimp tacos. This place has really turned in to a great place.

Esther Short Park is an old - new feature of the Vancouver area. It has been completely redone with a splash pad for kids and lots of grass. During the drier/warmer months weekends include a nice Farmers Market on the west side and outdoor movies in the center of the park. That said, the park is in the older part... More
