The I-5 Corridor is a main artery of transit up and down the west coast. It is not surprising that this bridge suffers from heavy traffic as it could stand to be twice as wide as it is. There has been much controversy over replacement and no real progress. That said, if you check your traffic app before you go... More

It is a great view of Mount Hood, on a clear day, while traveling over the Columbia River. Enjoying the view from a car is difficult though, as traffic can be so absolutely terrible at this spot. If you are traveling across the I-5 Interstate Bridge, when you don't have to go to work or fulfill an appointment, choose your... More

It's an ugly old bridge that's living on borrowed time, you MUST drive over it if you want to go anywhere interesting around here, and taking a look to check it out while driving at 60MPH would be plain idiocy! It's cool to get stuck on it on a summer's afternoon when you are not trying to get anywhere in... More

Beautiful to view from the river, less satisfying to drive on especially between 7 and 7pm every when traffic roars to a stop. weekends are usually less crowded.

Geez I wish we could get another bridge. 2 lanes each way and really kind of exciting to move from state to state. A wonderful view of the Columbia and you can just see it, if you sit really tall. Some time the traffic is a bear. The stores on Jantzen Island are good, especially because they are tax free... More

i took pics of at least 20 bridges on my holiday to portland and the interstate bridge was one of them. This cool bridge has some mixed design elements, it looks like it must have a section that raises up for boats. Pretty cool thing to see.

It's a great bridge after you cross in to Washington and realize it took you from a messed up place to drive. The ENTITLED DRIVERS WONT MOVE OVER OUT OF Fast LANE. YOU HAVE EVERYONE GOING AROUND AND CAUSING ACCIDENTS then no one makes to work on time. I'm just glad I live on the north side of that bridge.... More

The bridge is terrible and rises only to marginal if you can avoid morning and evening rush hour periods when crossing it. Drivers generally pay no attention to speed limits and rear end collisions are common especially at the "hump" where speeding drivers come over the crest to find traffic ahead of them at a stop. The large number of... More

Its a bridge. Sure you have to cross it to get back and fourth, that's what a bridge does, that is its whole meaning. Its big and green, its as noisy as standing next a jet engine, it vibrates like a Kardashian butt we need it...

One of two bridges connecting Vancouver and Portland. Almost always backed up in one direction or the other. Lovely architecture but really, get the light rail across the river!!!
