Good place for family adventure. Explore the area including a historic fort. Quiet area good place for exercise. Views over the Potomac river with sights as far and clear to the Woodrow Wilson bridge.

This was a hidden gem! I took the self-tour of the grounds in less than an hour. The site is well preserved and provided a look at what Soldiers endured during the 19th Century. Plenty of parking, no cost, and you get a little exercise...More

It is mostly accessible by wheelchair. There are some steep inclines and pebbly surfaces but vehicles can get close and park next to most attractions - better to drive between different sections of park than to use... More
