The horrors of war are brought to life as you explore the enormous loss suffered at the battles fought in and around Fredericksburg, Virginia. Wear some comfortable shoes and explore the grounds of the pak as well as downtown Fredericksburg.

The visitor's center was very nice and had updated learning centers to view as well as some artifacts. I thought everything was presented in an organized and thoughtful manner. There is parking and it's located in a quiet part of town. Since the battle took...More

The battlefield and visitor center are located in a quiet area of town, so you can really ponder the tragic events that took place here. We were unfortunately too late to give the visitor center a real tour, so we just ended up watching the...More

We visited this Park and it was very informative, especially the walking tour of the grounds with a Park Ranger. The Ranger was a walking Cvil War walking encyclopedia. The grounds were nicely kept and we will return to visit again.

There are not riding horses experiences any where close by. Again the Fredericksburg Area Vistors Center can help you out. Riding trails are located in more rural areas of the county.
